SimulEYE® Membrane Peeling Kit - Essential
This SimulEYE® Membrane Peeling Kit offers the ESSENTIAL components for practicing retina membrane peeling. Whether you want to try different retina forceps or experience various 3D visualization systems, this Kit solves the challenges that come with trying to work outside of the OR or lab setting. When the vitrectomy machine is not available for a light source, this Kit provides 2 light sources to maximize visualization. Our Lighted Base supports the eye and provides posterior illumination while an innovative adapter allows the use of a rechargeable light to power a light pipe.
The reusable SimulEYE® model has a glass optic cornea for excellent visualization. The eye can be easily opened and a new retina with a membrane can be inserted and ready to go in seconds. There is no need to apply gels and dry them out in order to create a membrane. There is no concern of changes in humidity. The membranes will perform the same every time.
Visualization and performance under air is fantastic. The back half of the eye can be filled with water or gel so the membrane behaves even more realistically. Prolonged use of water or gel will cause the membrane to detach within 5-10 minutes.
NOTE: This ESSENTIAL Kit should be used when you have access to your own trocar – cannulas and light pipes
