SimulEYE® ICL
SimulEYE® is proud to become the official partner of Staar Surgical in developing the SimulEYE® ICL Kit and models to support surgeon training on the Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL).
The Starter Kit comes with everything you need to begin training. A Reusable Base with a robust red reflex allows excellent visualization of the lens while a flexible iris allows for realistic implantations into the sulcus.
The eye models are configured as either Open Sky with a rim of corneal tissue and incision ports to work through or Full Cornea where the surgeon creates their own incisions. One of each is included in the Kit and refill packs of each type are available separately.
The Open Sky model is reusable many times and is ideal for learning how to tuck the ICL footplates into the sulcus again and again without having to load the lens each time or surgically explant the lens.
The Full Cornea model provides the most realistic experience as it allows injection and unfolding of the ICL in the anterior chamber. This is a single-use model and should be used after adequate training with the Open Sky version.

1 x 5cc Cohesive Viscoelastic Substitute – use behind iris to maintain sulcus and around limbus
1 x 5cc Dispersive Viscoelastic Substitute – use over surface to improve view and reduce bubbles
4 x 1cc Cohesive Viscoelastic Substitute – intraocular use under iris to maintain sulcus
4 x 1cc Dispersive Viscoelastic Substitute – intraocular use in AC similar to Ocucoat
