The reusable SimulEYE® Membrane Peeling model has a glass optic cornea for excellent visualization of the retina. It comes with pre-placed scleral access points and can be easily opened so a new retina with a membrane can be inserted and ready to go in seconds. There is no need to apply gels and dry them out in order to create a membrane. There is no concern of changes in humidity. The membranes will perform the same every time.
Visualization and performance under air is fantastic. A wide-angle viewing system or a contact lens is required when using the eye with the glass optic in place. When these viewing systems are not available, be sure to have the OPEN SKY Eye Front (sold separately) for direct visualization of the retina.
NOTE: This eye is to be used in conjunction with the Membrane Peeling Kits.
