SimulEYE® Membrane Peeling Kit - Fundamental
This SimulEYE® Membrane Peeling Kit offers a FUNDAMENTAL and easy solution for practicing retina membrane peeling. Whether you want to try different retina forceps or experience various 3D visualization systems, this Kit solves the challenges that come with trying to work outside of the OR or lab setting. When the vitrectomy machine is not available for a light source, this Kit includes our Lighted Base to support the eye and provide excellent posterior illumination. There are no fiber optic components provided with this Kit.
The reusable SimulEYE® model has a glass optic cornea for excellent visualization and two pre-placed 23g cannulas which are designed to stay in place. The eye can be easily opened and a new retina with a membrane can be inserted and ready to go in seconds. There is no need to apply gels and dry them out in order to create a membrane. There is no concern of changes in humidity. The membranes will perform the same every time.
Visualization and performance under air are fantastic. The back half of the eye can be filled with water or gel so the membrane behaves even more realistically. Prolonged use of water or gel will cause the membrane to detach within 5-10 minutes.
NOTE: This FUNDAMENTAL Kit should be used when you only want to use the posterior light source or have access to your own light pipe and fiber optic light source.
