Surgical simulation for Pars Plana Vitrectomy just got even better with our SimulEYE® PPV-VH model for managing a Vitreous Hemorrhage. Just like our standard PPV model, PPV-VH requires NO SET-UP! That’s right. Unlike competing models, with our pre-assembled eyes and ultra-realistic synthetic vitreous, there is no need to assemble or fill them with egg whites. Even better, there is no messy cleanup afterward.
The PPV-VH model has a very realistic synthetic vitreous simulating a vitreous hemorrhage that has to be cleared in order to visualize the highly detailed retina. Experience the effects of the latest generation cutters on the vitreous body as the added color and texture of the vitreous comes alive and makes it very easy to see the effects of cutting and fluidics. The PPV-VH model is airtight to keep bubbles out and allows realistic settings to demonstrate the proper fluidics and cut rate for an optimal surgical experience.
Use the SimulEYE PPV-VH model with a contact lens or with a wide-angle viewing system. You can even use your favorite 3D visualization system for the ultimate training experience.
Get a feel for placing trocars and sleeves through the pars plana. Perform a core vitrectomy and alter the settings to see the effect on the vitreous. Shave the vitreous base, simulate creating a vitreous detachment and learn to deliver endolaser treatments without touching the lens.
