SimulEYE® Artisan
Introducing the SimulEYE Artisan model eyes. These were developed in collaboration with Ophtec for the Artisan line of IOLs which require iris enclavation. After extensive R&D, we are pleased to have met the challenge of creating an iris technology that allows realistic training for the technique of properly implanting these iris-claw IOLs.
Key Features:
Modular Design: Each Eye features our reusable Multi-Base and a replaceable Artisan Eye Front.
Long Shelf Life: Eye is no longer pre-filled with gel, ensuring long shelf-life.
Hydro Iris™: Proprietary iris technology designed to imitate iris tissue as it absorbs moisture. Allow 2 minutes to fully hydrate and be ready to use.
Pupil Size: 4mm to allow enclavation of the peripheral claws.
Incredible Tissue Realism with Hydro IrisTM – allows enclavation of the iris
Reusable: With proper care, the Artisan models are designed for multiple uses.
Multi-Base: This reusable platform is modular and works with many Eye Fronts for a variety of training options.
Replaceable Eye Fronts
Filling Port in Eye Front -- easy to fill with viscoelastic gel
Multiple Techniques:
These models are primarily intended for working with Ophtec Artisan IOLs, but can also be used for other procedures like:
Yamane technique with a smaller pupil -- 4mm vs 6mm in the ISHF (Yamane) model
Iris suturing and iridodialysis repair
Iris suture fixation and scleral suture fixation of IOLs
IOL cutting and exchanges
Each Eye Front can be used for multiple procedures before it needs to be replaced.
Complete EYE vs. EYE FRONT:
EYE: Includes both the Eye Front and reusable Multi-Base.
EYE FRONT: The front half of the eye is replaceable and attaches to the Eye Base.
One 5cc Cohesive Viscoelastic is included with each EYE – not provided with replacement Eye Fronts
MODULAR:
The SimulEYE Artisan model is modular, featuring a reusable Multi-Base (no capsule) and replaceable Artisan Eye Front
Replacement Eye Fronts are available in packs of 1 or 2
Other Eye Fronts with different pupil sizes are available separately
